 A cultural event “SALS Synergy Fest-2022” was organized for the students of the School of Applied and Life Sciences on 14 May 2022. The objective of this cultural Synergy Fest was to join the hands of junior and senior students for a joint event full of music, drama,  dance, and comics for the refreshment of mood just before the final examination. On this occasion,  a Farewell Party was also given to the final year students. First-year students received their Fresher party through this synergy fest.

The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Director Student Affairs & IT, Dr Abhishek Joshi, Dean, SALS, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Coordinator of event Prof (Dr) V K Srivastava and Cultural head  Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola by lamp lightening followed by Ganesh Vandana. Dean, SALS, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh gave a warm welcome to everyone present at the event through his welcome address and he encouraged the students to participate in cultural and sports events along with scientific activities. Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, and Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi Ji appreciated the efforts of the students.

A number of cultural events including folk dances of Garhwal, Haryana, West Bengal, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Punjab were performed by the students which were highly appreciated by all. A fashion show was also organized on the occasion. The event closed with a jam session, much to everyone’s appreciation. Best achievers were awarded in the event. Mr and Miss fresher along Farewell prizes were also given discipline-wise.

Dr Poonam Negi, Dr B S Rawat, Dr Nishesh Sharma, Dr Sukriti Singh and other heads and Deans graced the occasion with their benign presence.
