Participation in extra-curricular activities motivates the young minds resulting in their overall development. With the aim of exposing students to real market situations and giving them an opportunity to  use their innovative thinking the Marketing Club of UIM organized ‘Brands  Redefined’. The event provided a platform, wherein the students got an opportunity to showcase their talents and soft skills while competing with other teams. The students demonstrated exemplary team spirit, leadership skills, tolerance and the spirit of sharing.

This Marketing Activity was conducted on 15 and 16 September, 2017. The event was a great success with the participation of 14 different groups. The jury comprised of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director -UIM, Dr. S M Mariam Fatima, HOD-Management and Mr. Shivendra Chaudhary, Head – Marketing Club.

Out of the initial 14 groups, 7 groups were shortlisted. In the screening round, the teams were given a product in the form of ‘an outline of a car’. The groups were required to suggest a brand name. Thereupon, they were required to suggest an appropriate tag line, enlist the salient features, give the USP of the product and describe the promotional activities. These also constituted the criteria of evaluation.

In the next round, the screened 7 groups had to face ‘Logo & Tag Redesigning Competition’ in the stipulated 1 hour time duration.

The jury adjudged the following as the winners of the event:

 

Winners           :         Group 12 (Achint Vikarm, Kuldeep Kaur, Jyoti Anshu and Kesshav Pandey.

 

1st Runner-up  :         Group 1 (Anjali Prajapati, Iqra Parveen, Manisha Pun,  Arushi Jain,  and Jyoti Kandhari)

 

2nd Runner-up :        Group 14 (Chandashree, Preetishree, Akash Rana, Kumari Jyoti Devrani and Divya Saini)

 

The winners were felicitated by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri.
