Collaboration between Uttaranchal University & Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR)

Uttaranchal University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP), Dehradun on 5th September,2017 for collaboration in the field of Renewable Energy, Biofuels, Polymers, Organomettalics, Industrial Biotechnology and Biomass to Energy, to list a few.

The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) N.K.Joshi, Vice Chancellor of the University and Dr.Anjan Ray, Director-IIP. Dr.Ajay Singh, Principal – Applied & Life Sciences and Dr.N.Vishwanatham , Senior Principal Scientist-Catalytic Division (IIP) also signed as witnesses on the MoU.

This MoU will assist in the all round development of post graduate & graduate students. It will further enable the students of the University to do their dissertation work jointly with IIP and facilitate the exchange of faculty, scientists, engineers, samples, materials, instrumental facilities for participation in experimental activities, thus promoting research and development.

Uttaranchal University and Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP), Dehradun can explore opportunities towards organization of seminars , expert guest lectures and workshops jointly.

Dr.Anjan Ray, Director(IIP), Dr.N.Vishwanatham ,Senior Principal Scientist-Catalytic Division (IIP) led by Prof.N.K.Joshi ,Vice Chancelllor, Uttaranchal University and Dr.Ajay Singh, Principal-Applied & Life Sciences visited the University campus. They visited the R&D Lab, Petroleum Labs and Agriculture and Science Labs and highly appreciated the green campus, infrastructure and the lab facilities available in the University.
