Objective

  • B.Pharm

Bachelor of Phamracy

As per the present curricula in India, a B. Pharm. degree mainly prepares the candidates to work in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory body (eg. drug inspector), clinical research etc. The course structure of the degree includes practical training in the pharmaceutical industry environment. A pharmacist having a B.Pharm. degree is also eligible to practice pharmacy in a community or hospital pharmacy as well as in teaching at D.Pharm. level.

Eligibility for this course.

B.Pharm-4 years

  • 10+2 or equivalent examination, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology.
  • Minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category)

Admission Procedure for B.Pharm.

Admission is based on merit computed on the basis of marks secured in UUEE (Uttaranchal University Entrance Examination) as well as marks secured in the qualifying examination (10+2).

  • D.Phram

Diploma of Pharmacy

A person who has completed D.Pharm can be employed as a registered pharmacist in a community pharmacy (wholesale or retail-medical store/chemists & druggists) or hospital pharmacy. It is the minimum qualification to practice pharmacy profession, therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription medicines has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only. There are several avenues also available in pharmaceutical industry. Candidates with D. Pharm. qualification are eligible to take admission in B. Pharm. 2nd year.
