The Biogenerika, a Biotechnology Scientific Club, is a venture of Department of Biotechnology. The chief aim behind the constitution of this club is to host events and provide educational programs that allow all its members to explore the world of science in the field of Biotechnology and Allied Sciences. The Biotech Club’s mission is to bridge the gap between industry and academia by providing education, skill set, and network for students to succeed in life science innovation and commercialization. This helps to create an environment to encourage investigation, analysis and studies pertaining to bioethical principles, values, concepts and social implications. While educating members through article discussion, activities and experiments the club strives to make biotechnology as interesting as possible. In nutshell, the aim of the club is to educate the members of the club about the advancements in biotechnological science and encourage them to strive towards achieving new developments in the field of Life Sciences.
The club aspires to create awareness about conservation of environment, make an effort to provide all round personality development of students, build leadership quality in students and promote professional activities pertaining to life science research, training and teaching.
The Club encourages the students to participate actively in different activities and programs organized by the club. It creates an environment to encourage investigation, analysis and studies pertaining to bioethical principles, values, concepts and social implications. The Club organizes various scientific programs like Discussions, Debates, Poster Making Competitions and Essay Writing Competitions. The Club organizes events in observance of science days like National Science Day, World AIDS Day, World DNA Day, to name a few.
