Principal’s Welcome Note

Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Sciences was established in the year 2016 to promote and focus on the courses of Applied and Life Sciences. We offer B.Sc. with Honors in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Food Technology, Biotechnology and M.Sc. programme in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Food Technology and Biotechnology. In addition to UG and PG courses, we also tender Doctoral Degree. Presently seven Research Scholars are pursuing their Ph.D in Chemistry. Our faculty members are well qualified and experienced in their specialized fields. Our laboratories of Basic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Basic Food Technology, Advanced Instrumentation Lab and Advanced Food Processing Lab are well equipped with all necessary facilities. Students are provided sound knowledge of their course content with maximum practical approach. Faculty Members employ latest teaching technology. We emphasize on applied research. Our curriculum and syllabi are CBCS based, as per latest UGC regulations. Industrial Visits, Educational Tours, Projects, Seminars, Presentations and Industrial Training form a compulsory part of the curriculum facilitating all round development of the students. We are committed for quality education so that students succeed and excel in their professional career. Our alumni are very well placed in organizations like Patanjali Ltd., IPCA pharma, Sheron Biomedicine Ltd., Indian Glycol Ltd., Aptara Incorpn., Jubilant Generics Ltd., Troika Labs Ltd., Choksy Lab, Nector Life Sciences, Vita Sana Foods, to name a few. Various extracurricular activities like Model Making, Sports Activities, Eco-Club Activities, Cultural Activities and NSS are also the highlights of our college. Students’ participation and achievements encourages our endeavors. Our students have won prizes in both State and National Level Events.
