The college has a well maintained Computer Laboratory with internet facility for imparting the fundamentals of Information Technology to the students.

Seminar Hall

University Polytechnic has a well-built, fully air-conditioned Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of more than 150. The Hall is equipped with modern audio visual facilities making it most appropriate for academic and corporate presentations, seminars, etc.

Basic Electrical Engineering Laboratory

This laboratory is common to all the students of first year and delivers the basic knowledge of electrical circuits and machines. In this laboratory we provide practical knowledge about D.C. theorems and introduction to transformers, D.C. machines and basic concepts about Electrical Engineering. The experiments are designed to expose students to the practical executions of the fundamental theories of Electrical Engineering.

Electrical Circuit Theory Lab

This laboratory provides practical knowledge of all the theorems regarding AC supply and the application of theorems useful in Electrical Engineering. The laboratory provides practical experience related to electrical circuits and stimulates more interest and motivation for further studies of electrical circuits. The lab is equipped with modern kits, bread boards, ammeters, voltmeters, CRO, function generators etc. through which students can implement various electrical circuits, verify various theorems on them and also study the various parameters of networks designed by them.

DC Machine Laboratory

This laboratory is set up to provide an exposure of various types of machines like DC motor, DC generator and their coupling as per industrial application.  This laboratory is the one the oldest and important laboratories of Electrical Engineering Department. The lab is equipped with conventional & modern electrical & electronic measuring equipments and DC electrical machines. It is used for undergraduate courses in which students study, learn & perform experiments on different types of electrical machines such as DC motors & generators and verify the different characteristics of the electrical machines. Certain tests on single & three phase transformers are also carried out in this laboratory.

AC Machines Laboratory

This laboratory deals with the practical aspects of simulations of AC machines like synchronous and induction motors, generators and applications of machines in different industries. This laboratory exposes the students to the concepts of synchronous and asynchronous machines and analyzes their performance. It also imparts knowledge on the construction and performance of salient and non –salient type synchronous generator, principle of operation and performance of synchronous motor, induction machines, starting and speed control of three-phase induction motors, construction, principle of operation and performance of single phase induction motors and special machines. This lab consists of machines such as reluctance machine, induction motor, induction generator, alternators, synchronous motors etc., all mounted in industrial mode of assembly to give the students real life industry exposure.

Measurement Laboratory

The laboratory provides hands on experience on various active and passive transducers like LVDT, LDR, strain gauge and various bridges for AC measurements. In this lab, students use basic test and measurement equipment that are useful for building and testing simple circuits. In particular, students measure voltage using an oscilloscope and digital multimeter. Students also determine an accurate measurement technique for measuring small resistances.

Control System Laboratory

The subject Control System is the back bone of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. With the help of this laboratory students learn various control techniques for different machines, turbines and other equipments used in power system. This laboratory includes modern equipments used in industrial automations. This laboratory provides practical knowledge about DC position control, Synchro transmitter & receiver, servomotors, servo voltage stabilizers, P, PI and PID controllers etc.

Power Electronics Laboratory

This laboratory provides the root concepts of various power devices like SCR, inverters, choppers, controlled rectifiers and AC voltage controllers through latest digital kits and their application in high voltage AC and DC power supplies and its transmission. The objective of Power Electronics Laboratory is to provide working experience of the concepts of power electronics as presented in the course content of Power Electronics and also facilitate knowledge dissemination of the special measurement and design techniques of this subject. The goal is to give students a “running start,” that can lead to a useful understanding of the field in one semester. The material allows students to design complete switching power supplies by the end of the semester and prepares the students to interact with power supply builders, designers, and customers in industry.

Switch Gear And Protection Lab

Power System is a very broad area which incorporates generation, transmission, distribution and protection. The aim of this laboratory is to provide an exposure of all the constituents through handling and analysis base study. The laboratory incorporates various experiments on faults analysis, direct axis, quadrature axis & sequence reactance’s. This laboratory is also equipped with the modern Relays Demonstration Kits through which students are able to get a practical knowledge about those relays after performing experiments on them.

Electrical Workshop

Electrical Workshop is a basic laboratory offered to the Undergraduate Engineering students of electrical and non-electrical streams. Its gives a fair knowledge about the various electrical gadgets used in day to day life and troubleshoots them. Also it provides the basic knowledge of the various electrical symbols, safety precautions, types of wiring, earthing etc. This workshop deals with a comprehensive coverage of all the basic concepts in electrical engineering practices. Beginning with the electrical symbols, residential wiring using energy meter, fuses, switches, indicator, lamps etc. students practice soldering & desoldering in this workshop. The workshop also provides a platform for assembling various projects of the Department.
