Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology is a graduate programme which introduces students to Hotel Industry. The Hotel Industry is a part of the wider Hospitality or Service Sector. Hence the programme puts Hotel Industry in the wider perspective of the Hospitality Sector. Students learn the core aspects of hotel work which includes Front Office Operation, Food Production Operation, F & B Service Manager, House Keeping Manager, Hospitality, Sales and Marketing. The Hotel Industry is a global phenomenon; hence Employment Avenue is not limited to one country. Students can work at international level with MNCs and global service providers.

The candidates must possess good communication and interpersonal skills so as to understand and cater to the needs of the customer. The learners should have patience and goodwill to handle criticism. The student is expected to exhibit calmness and composure even in critical situations.

Eligibility:
  • 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects at 10+2 level in any stream.
  • Minimum 45% marks(40% in case of SC/ST category)

Admission Procedure:
  • Admission is based on merit computed on the basis of marks secured in qualifying examination. University also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting the eligible candidates.
  • Out of the total intake, 40% seats are allotted to students of Uttarakhand under the State Quota and the rest are open to students from All India. In case the allotted percentage of seats of State Quota remains vacant, it will be filled by All India students.
