Fundamental duties are the basic norms that a citizen should adhere to voluntarily as he owes the same to the society and country. These are the values that should be implemented in the daily lives of the citizens. Citizens are responsible for their basic conduct towards the society they live in. To instill this obligation into the mind of students, the NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University conducted an “Essay Writing Competition” on the topic of Role of Fundamental duties in Nation Building and its enforceability: Issues and challenges organized by Uttaranchal Institute of management on 13 April 2022. Students from MBA, BBA, BCA B Com (H), B Sc (IT), and MCA took part enthusiastically in the competition.
Mr Rajat Pusadkar of BBA III year got the first position, Riya Joshi of MBA I year secured the second position and Kamal Chandra Joshi of BBA-I year got the third position.
The winners of this competition were felicitated by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean UIM with the certificates to students who secured First, Second and Third positions. Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM appreciated the efforts of the students who shared their ideas on this important issue which is very crucial to nation-building, and motivated students to follow the rules and regulations of the country in true letter and spirit. On this occasion, Dr Megha Agarwal HOD (Management), Dr Sonal Sharma, HOD (IT), Mr Abhishek Pathak, DIQAC, UIM, Mr Rakesh Semwal, NSS Coordinator UIM, Mr Praveen Shah, and Dr Sunil Shukla were also present.
