Professor & Senior Scientist Dr. N. Viswanadham (Head-Catalytic Division, IIP) was invited for a Guest Lecture in School of Applied and Life Sciences on 7th May, 2018. Dr. Viswanadham is involved in research since the past 15 years and is working as Senior Principal Scientist & Head in Catalytic Division CSIR-IIP. He has published more than 50 Research Papers and has been honoured with many prestigious awards like Visiting Professorship under Indo-Japan Co-operative Science Programme (IJCSP)-2003 and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship 2000.

He delivered a special interactive lecture on “Recent Advancements in Petrochemical and Catalytic Process” for the students of M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry), M.Sc. (Chemistry), B.Sc.(Hons.) Biotechnology, B.Sc.(Hons.)Chemistry, B.Sc.(Hons.)Food Technology, B.Sc.(Hons.)Physics and B.Tech.

More than 300 students participated in the session. The Lecture was highly inspiring & informative and aptly presented the present scenario of research in the field of Petrochemical Industries. He emphasized on the importance of catalysts and new techniques used in petrochemical and other industries. Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal-SALS), Dr. Nishesh and other Faculty Members were present on the occasion.
