Law College Dehradun conducted its 18th Board of Studies Meeting on 06th July, 2021 to adopt and implement syllabus of global standards and legal education as recommended by the experts. Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean of Law College Dehradun, stated that the institution has opted for a syllabus which reflects strong inclination towards outcome based education under statutory compliance of Bar Council of India rules, Value Added Courses and formulation of academic curriculum in accordance with the local, national and global academic-cum- professional needs of the students.
Taking into consideration the emerging demand of the industry and practical utility, subjects like Mediation were incorporated and amendment of Labor Law according to the new code was done. The entire process underwent three stages such as preparation of course structure by the subject-experts, approval of syllabus by the Board and then the Academic Council of the university. This will be followed from the Academic Session 2021-2022 onwards. The Expert Committee included Prof. B.N.Pandey- Professor in Law, Dr. D. N. Bhatkoti –Former Faculty of Political Science, D.A.V College, Dehradun, Dr. Paritosh Singh as external members and Dr. Poonam Rawat was Member Secretary of the Board while Mr. Kumar Ashutosh, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Dr. Anjum Parvez, Dr. V.Bhuvaneswari, Dr. Radhey Shyam Jha and Dr. Aijaj Ahmed attended as the internal members.
