“A Moot is a fox theater of war that trains you for the real-life cut and thrust of court.”

Law College Dehradun emerged victorious at “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, a “Pan India Legal Awareness,” Moot Court Competition hosted by the Uttarakhand State Legal Service Authority, High Court Campus, Nainital on November 11, 2021. Moot court society of Law College Dehradun has always made best efforts to hone the legal skills and legal acumen of their students and encourages the students to participate in Moot Court Competitions, and the students in turn never miss an opportunity to impress everyone with their mooting skills. Students from all over the state participated in the competition and delivered their best arguments. Each team elevated their words, not only their voices because mooting skill is not only the art of debating but also the skill of presenting them modestly. This event was rightly grabbed by the students of LCD who represented the Dehradun District.

The team included

  1. Aditi Bansal as Speaker 1
  2. Shivansh Agrawal as Speaker 2
  3. Shivang Parashar as Researcher

They competed zealously against other Uttarakhand districts, and their efforts paid off. The team was declared winners of the Competition and also holds the trophy of the best memorial. On the occasion of Constitution Day on 26 November 2021, at the Nainital High Court Campus a Valedictory Ceremony was organized by the USLSA where Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Narayan Singh Dhanik felicitated the team and wished these law enthusiasts for their future endeavors.

Our heartfelt congrats to the team!
