Uttaranchal University facilitates live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi’s “Pariksha pe Charcha 2.0”

In his initiative to be in tune with the youth of the country a programme “Pariksha pe Charcha 2.0” was organized at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, on 29th January, 2019, wherein Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi interacted with students below 25 years, their parents and teachers. The discussion was about ways to reduce examination related stress.

More than 70 Students and 11 Faculty Members of Uttaranchal University participated as audience of the live telecast. Girls constituted more than 60 % of the audience. Live Telecast of this programme was facilitated in Library Conference Hall. The event was coordinated by Dr. B.S.Rawat, Head – Department of Physics, UCALS, Uttaranchal University. Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal-UCALS), Mr. N.C.Uniyal (Chief Librarian), Dr. V.K. Srivastava (Head – Department of Mathematics), Dr. Bharti Ramola along with other Faculty Members were present on the occasion. The programme along with a cultural programme was broadcasted live at11 am.

Around 12-14 Crore students, parents and teachers were expected to join as audience in Pariksha pe Charcha 2.0 – 2019. They discussed their problems related to examination. Hon’ble Prime Minister discussed about keeping high aspirations and working towards realization of goals. He enlightened on the ways through which parents can create a stress free environment and motivate their children. Hon’ble Prime Minister asserted that parents and teachers should encourage the child to choose the field of his choice. He suggested that technology should be a topic of discussion with children and youth as its use in positive direction can make it an asset towards achieving ones goals. He further stated that Examination should not be treated as a burden but as an opportunity or stepping stone towards the realization of aspirations.

The students and Faculty Members were highly motivated and inspired by the words of wisdom delivered by Hon’ble Prime Minister.
