A one-day Tour to ‘Forest Research Institute’ was organized by School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University on 21st August, 2018 for the members of Environmental Club of Uttaranchal University. Around 50 students were taken in the University Bus to visit Forest Research Institute (FRI) Campus. Established in the year 1906, FRI is a World Heritage Site. The institution is made purely of bricks and is one of its kind in the world. The students saw the Greco-Roman and Colonial styles of architecture of the main building. The campus has a large variety of trees and plants all around. This helped the Eco-Cops in understanding the importance of greenery and they pledged to keep their surroundings green and clean. The visit to FRI was enjoyed by all the members of Environmental Club. The students were accompanied by Dr. Bharti Ramola and Dr. Poonam Negi.
