Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi is an alumnus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, U.S.A. Prior to joining Uttaranchal University as Vice Chancellor Dr. Joshi was Dean – Academic Affairs, Uttaranchal University; Director, College of Engineering at Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad; Pro Vice Chancellor at Shri Venketeshwara University; Director, Banasthali University (Jaipur Campus); Professor (Computer Science) and Head Department of Computer Science in an affiliated university college of Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, USA at Muscat; Professor Computer Science at Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad; Associate Professor (Computer Science) at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon; Associate Professor(Computer Science) at National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), Faridabad; Faculty at Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal and Deputy Director at U.P. Academy of Administration. Dr. Joshi is also a Visiting Faculty of IIM, Lucknow and Adjunct Professor at Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, USA.
Dr. Joshi has an extensive experience of more than 35 years in Institution Building, Teaching, Corporate Training, Consultancy and Research & Administration. He has published and presented many papers in international journals and conferences and has authored three books. He has supervised many Ph.D. scholars in the area Computer Science and Engineering. He is internationally recognized as a known Professor in the area of Computer Science and is identified in the field of academics as an institution builder, professor, distinguished academician and a top class trainer. He has successfully completed consultancy assignments for well known organizations like FAO, FTPP, Rome; Word Bank and Asian Development Bank. He has conducted more than 250 Management Development Programs in India and abroad for industries which include NTPC, GE Capital, Hero Groups, Maruti, Dabur, Genpact, Ericsson, Electrolux, LIC, GAIL, SAIL, ONGC, HAL, to name a few. He has also conducted more than 150 training programs for IAS, IPS, IRS and PCS Officers.
