An Interactive Session was organized by the Women Cell, School of Liberal Arts on 29 September 2022 in the Seminar Hall at 3:30 pm. The session aimed to bring together and upheld the collective spirit of the female fraternity. With an objective to create a platform that is attentive and supportive of the needs of girl students, the interactive session also tended to develop a familiarity among the active members of the Women Cell, so that the students have the know-how for any resolution they can seek in cases pertaining to any sort of harassment and violation of law pertaining to their safety. The vision of the interactive session was also to acquaint students with the Women Cell functioning at the university level.
The program started with the ceremonious ‘Kulgeet’ of the university. Anoushka Mehra, comperer of the program started her address by briefing about the details of the event. After a very interactive welcome, an Introductory Speech was delivered by Reetika, (student coordinator, Women Cell, SLA) to inform the students about the vision of the women cell. She told about the current office bearers of the cell and she also showed glimpses of the events conducted by the cell in the past. Rahul Sharma of 2ndyear BA presented a heart-touching poem on ‘नारी अचल है तू’. Jagriti, the student coordinator presented an Introduction to an NGO which is being run by her.
Dr Reeta Rautela, Chairperson, Women Cell shared her insights about women’s safety and a few dos and don’ts of dignified women. Dr Pinki Chugh, member secretary, Women Cell initiated the pledge. The program came to a close with a Vote of thanks proposed by Himanshi Mishra. The event was coordinated by Dr Pinki Chugh under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean, SLA.
