Two Days Faculty Development Program on “The Future of Making Things”

Faculty Development Program was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal University on “The Future of Making Things’’ with Autodesk Fusion 360 in Association with ARCC, Dehradun during 27 – 28 July 2017. The honourable dignitaries Chancellor Sir Shri Jitendra Joshi, Vice-Chancellor (officiating) Dr. N.K. Joshi, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Joshi (Head Mechanical Engineering), Ms. Gayatri Raghu (Program Manager Autodesk- North & North East India), Ms. Neeshu Kaushik, Mr. Dinesh Kaushik and Director ARCC (Autodesk authorized training center) were present on this occasion. The Trainers of FDP were Mr. Vibhor and Mr. Saurabh. This Faculty Development Program was attended by more than 30 faculties from Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering & Diploma in Engineering. The coordinating faculty members were Mr. Avnish Kumar, Asst. Prof. & Mr. Ravi Batra, Astt. Prof. of Mechanical Engineering Department.

While addressing on this occasion Vice-Chancellor (officiating) Dr. N.K.Joshi appreciated the efforts of the organizers and spoke on the utility and future scope of Designing Software in the field of research and industry. He also urged the faculty to take up research in the emerging areas. The FDP was spread over two days. Faculties were trained on the new technology of Autodesk “FUSION 360” icloud based and most user friendly designing software put forth by Autodesk. At the end of FDP the participating faculties were given Participating certificates by Autodesk Training partner, ARCC, Dehradun.
