We at University Polytechnic, Uttaranchal University, have a clear understanding on the importance of imparting to our students requisite technological skills set along with the necessary theoretical and conceptual knowledge in the domain of engineering for the purpose of their career building in the industry. With this purpose we regularly invite professionals from the cross section of industry and academia to interact with our students and nurture into them a balance of professional knowledge and technological skills and give them a clear vision of their future prospects.
Going along with our determination of professional enhancement of our students the Civil Engineering Department of University Polytechnic organized a Seminar on February 22, 2020 for students in which Engineering Professionals from CETPA had a highly productive and informative two-way interaction with the students of all the three years of Civil Engineering.
Mr. Govind, the Senior Executive of CETPA Infotech Pvt. The team of professionals gave a working knowledge to the students about the various specialized domains of engineering in which they can work in future. The students also learnt about the entire process of planning and surveying before starting any kind of construction. Engineer Mr. Prashant Chaudhary, in his presentations, educated the students about the importance and use of various design software currently being used in the industry internationally. He also talked about the 2D, 3D and structural architecture of modern buildings and construction.
The event started in the familiar tradition of the college with the “lamp lightning” followed by the recital of “Saraswati Vandana” and “Kul Geet” of the university. At the end the students were awarded Participation Certificates in the presence of the Principal of the College Dr. S. K. Shah who in his concluding speech reiterated the importance of keeping abreast with latest technological advancements. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem by all present on the occasion.
