School of Agriculture, Uttaranchal University paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first ‘Vice President’ and second ‘President’ of India and celebrated “Teacher’s Day” on his 130th Birthday on 5th September, 2018.

The program began with the lighting of the lamp and offering of flowers on the portrait of Dr. S Radhakrishnan. Dr. J.P. Mishra, Principal-SOA addressed all the students and Faculty Members and told that everyone needs to learn from the philosophy of Dr. Radhakrishnan who believed in of acclimatization of modern technologies in education without affecting our cultural heritage. He told that teachers have an important role in quality education and nation’s development. He advised all the students to undergo self-examination, introspection and self -exploration to assess their standing and improve with the help of teachers and books. He blessed all the students for their bright future.

The program was organized by the Students’ Club of SOA which conducted varied events in which students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture participated with enthusiasm.
