University Polytechnic, Uttaranchal University, has always strived to provide motivation and inspiration to its students to achieve success in every walk of life and what could be better than a visit to IMA, Dehradun. March 14, 2019 was a very special day in the college for the students of Final Year from all the three branches of CE, ME & EE as they got a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit IMA on an Educational Tour.
There were around 115 students who boarded the buses in the campus of the University and were accompanied by Principal Dr. S. K. Shah and members of faculty namely Mr. Rishi Dev Nautiyal, Ms. Niharika Rawat, and Mr. Sanchit Verma.
The group from the college was received warmly by Major Himanshu Goyal who was kind enough to be the guide for the students. The students were first taken to the Museum in the Chetwood Hall where they saw many war relics and weapons. Next they were guided to Khetarpal Block. The students also visited the War Memorial there and they were told that the data of all the martyrs of the nation is duly preserved and updated regularly there. The students also got to know about the battalions stationed there currently and then came the delightful moment for them when they saw the horses which are used for the training of the cadets.
The students were provided invaluable knowledge along with some precious career counseling at the academy. Finally the students gathered at Major Vikram Batra Mess for some refreshment.
It was a truly unforgettable experience for everyone and the students were overwhelmed with everything they got to see, learn and understand there. They advanced their heartfelt thanks to the entire team of Faculty Members and the Principal for the deep interest and continuous efforts towards the overall progress and development of the students.
