Uttaranchal Institute of Technology recently signed a MoU with NPTI, Nagal. The first program under this collaboration commenced today, i.e., on 24th April, 2018, with the inauguration of the three-day ‘Skill Development Programme’ on “Renewable Power Generation & National Grid”. The objective of the programme was to develop the technical skills among the students along with practical knowledge. The event is being organized by Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The Skill Development Programme commenced with the warm welcome and felicitation of the guests of the occasion, namely, Er. C.R. Meena, Assistant Director-NPTI, Nagal and Er. V.M. Mahajan (Retd.) Executive Engineer- HPGCL, by the presentation of bouquet by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi & Director-UIT Prof. (Dr.) B. Lonia. All the dignitaries formally initiated the programme with the lighting of the auspicious lamp.
On this occasion Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi addressed the students and shared his views on ‘Renewable Energy Resources & Their Importance’ through A PowerPoint Presentation. He informed the students regarding the necessity of renewable energy resources in our life & elaborated the present scenario of renewable energy resources in India. He compared the various non-conventional sources of energy with the conventional sources of energy.
Er. C.R. Meena addressed the students and shared his vast practical experience. With his mesmerizing words he motivated the students to attend such programmes for the betterment of their future.
Er. V.M. Mahajan also shared the highlights of his 34 years of experience and explained the significance of both theoretical and practical knowledge. He shared the technique he followed to learn the designing of different electrical equipments resulting in skill enhancement.
The three-day event intends to develop the skills of the students in varied fields including various renewable sources of energy, smart grid, hydroelectric power plant, to name a few.
