Law College Dehradun, under the aegis of Uttaranchal University, extended a warm welcome to Ms. Karishma Dangwal who secured sixth rank in ‘Uttarakhand Judicial Services Examination – 2017’ on 5th March, 2018 and termed it as another feather in the cap of Law College Dehradun. Hon’ble Chancellor of the University Mr. Jitender Joshi, presented a bouquet and a memento to Ms. Dangwal, an alumna of the college in the jam-packed Seminar Hall. Mr. Joshi stated that Karishma has made both the State and the University proud due to her achievement. He also maintained that it is a matter of pride and achievement for Law College Dehradun that twenty-four of its alumni are serving as judges in the States of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gujrat.
In his address, Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Principal of the College, stated that Karishma had pursued BA.LL.B. Course from Law College Dehradun and passed with First Division. He affirmed that she was a hard-working and regular student of the college.
Speaking on the same occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, congratulated Karishma and offered effective success tips to the students.
In her speech Ms. Karishma Dangwal revealed that while leaving the college she had resolved to return to the college after achieving a spectacular success. She said that hard work, positive attitude and indomitable confidence were the key to her success. She praised the college for its quality education and discipline which, according to her, had been instrumental in the success of students in the Judicial Services Examination. She also mentioned that the contribution of experienced faculty members of the college proved to be highly significant in the achievement of her professional aspiration.
