Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business, which is often initially a small business. The people who create these businesses are called entrepreneurs. Uttaranchal University hopes to inspire and support the new generation of founders and entrepreneurs by providing them with resources that are otherwise not easily accessible.
Finally the results of the most awaited Brain Child Competition (Students’ Innovative Ideas for Start Ups) organized by the Uttaranchal University Center for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (UUCIIE) were declared on 6th February, 2019 and the selected teams were allotted their respective offices by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi. Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi motivated the students to work diligently in their respective areas and give their best results and emerge as young entrepreneurs in the region. He also added that all possible support would be provided to the teams for their proper functioning and setting up of ventures. The students were filled with enormous thrill and enthusiasm.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to excel in their respective fields. He said that having office space to be able to run the students’ start ups is extremely important for the success of any business. The Chairperson – Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Uttaranchal University) Dr. Vandana Joshi said that Incubation Centre will help the Start-ups in focusing their time and energy on creating, evolving and testing their products. Ms. Anu Sayal, Coordinator – UUCIIE and Mr. Chandra Kant Joshi, Member – UUCIIE along with other members of the UUCIIE congratulated the students and advised the students to make the best possible use of the opportunity provided to them by the University.
