Uttaranchal University conducts Orientation Program for the First Year Students of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology & Uttaranchal College of Polytechnic

Uttaranchal University has always upheld the conviction of creating an amicable environment for the young learners which helps them groom their overall personality along with a healthy environment for enhancing knowledge & skills. The University keeps on endeavoring to conceptualize ideas for the betterment of students on a regular basis.

As part of the ongoing tradition the University planned & conducted an Orientation & Induction Program for the First Year Students of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) and Uttaranchal College of Polytechnic (UCP) on 20th August, 2019, with an aim to give an opportunity to learn and know the University and their respective colleges closely so that they may carry the legacy of the University ahead.

Hon’ble Chancellor Sh. Jitender Joshi and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Joshi were the Guests of Honour and were warmly welcomed with the presentation of saplings by Dr. Sumit Chaudhary, Director – UIT, and Dr. S. K. Shah, Principal – UCP, respectively. It was followed by the recital of the “University Kulgeet” and auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony by the dignitaries.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, in his address to the students, stressed upon the need of expanding the learning horizons by setting a career goal for themselves. He also urged upon the students to make full use of the learning resources like Computer Centre and Central Library for their best possible learning and future job placements. He also encouraged the students to learn through NPTEL, MOOC and SWAYAM Courses in the University Campus on the one hand, while on the other hand he asked the students to explore the possibilities of their becoming successful future entrepreneurs through taking the full advantage of Incubation Centre of the University.

Hon’ble Chancellor, in his short but effective and enlightening speech, promised the students every possible support from his side for better learning and best possible placements in the future and encouraged the students to put in their best efforts in studies.

The program concluded with the recital of the National Anthem by all the dignitaries, Head of the Departments, Faculty Members and students present on the occasion.
