Every year May 21 is observed as “Anti –Terrorism Day” in India to wean away the youth from terrorism and show as to how it is prejudicial to the national interest. On this occasion the NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University organized a ‘Pledge-Taking Ceremony’, under the guidance of Dr. V.K. Srivastava, with an aim to observe the day in a befitting manner. Faculty members and students of the constituent colleges of the University took the following pledge:
“We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence & tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism & violence. We pledge to uphold & promote peace, social harmony & understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives & values.”
During this event Dr. Ajay Singh (Principal-UCALS) and faculty members of the constituent colleges of University were present.
