Awareness of gender equality and sensitization towards the same can be achieved by conducting campaigns. Gender Sensitization is a basic requirement to understand the sensitive needs of a particular gender. Instilling positive thoughts on gender issues will enlighten the present & future generations and dissuade them from practicing gender discrimination. With this concept in mind the Women Cell of School of Applied and Life Sciences organized a program to create awareness about AIDS and Personal Hygiene of Women on 5th December, 2019.
Students of various departments of SALS participated and made informative and artistic posters related to AIDS Day, Awareness about HIV and Menstrual Hygiene.
Principal-SALS Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh was present on the occasion and was pleased with the activity of Women Cell which informed all the students regarding the various aspects of gender discrimination.
The event was organized by Coordinator of Women Cell Dr. Bharti Ramola with active participation of the cell members, namely, Dr. Indra Rautela, Dr. Shuchi Upadhayay, Dr. Poonam Negi and Dr. Shweta Singh.
